The OCC Community Fun Day on Saturday 1st July was well attended and succeeded in its goal of bringing our diverse community together. The event was held in Memorial Community Church which regularly hosts community events. In addition to the OCC Fun Day an art exhibition was also being held in a different part of the church.

Starting from Wednesday 17th May The C4 project will be running advice, information and support sessions at Startford Advice. Details are being printed to postcards that should be available for distribution next week.

It was good to meet John of Learning Sure and Feven, Amina and Darshi (not pictured) at the Plastow South Big Local (PSBL) event today. They are a multitalented and multilingual group who are good example of Newham’s cultural wealth and its culture of community service.

Rose Small is the founder and coordinator of Our Community Cares (OCC) in Canning Town. She introduced the Zoom meeting held on Friday 17 March by talking about OCC. The Caring, Conscious, Creative Community Online project is intended to support OCC’s work and that of organisations doing similar community work in Newham.
